Omer Klein

Scroll down for English version.

Hun meest recente album heet  Sleepwalkers.

In New York speelde Omer Klein oa met Omer Avital, Mark Feldman, Clarence Penn, Meshell Ndegeocello, Jason Lindner, Avishai Cohen, Donny McCaslin.

ENGLISH
Another exciting pianist, and again a musician who blends jazz with Jewish and Arab influences: Omer Klein.

Pianist Omer Klein is among the current crop of young Israeli musicians everybody’s talking about in the New York scene (as did bassists Avishai Cohen and Omer Avital and trumpeter Avishai Cohen before him). Like many other artists on the John Zorn label Tzadik he blends contemporary jazz with traditional elements from the Middle East.
His music balances between Jewish and Arab influences and between mirth and melancholy.

Nowadays he lives in Germany, but still works with his regular trio members bassist Haggai Cohen-Milo and drummer Amir Bresler.
These three musicians found their very own style that transcends the ‘mix of Western and Eastern music’. Their most recent albuym is called
 Sleepwalkers.
