Fosfor is het 2e solo-album van de Noor Håkon Storm. Een begenadigd en origineel gitarist, die onderzoekend en expressief speelt.
Storm kan heel móói gitaar spelen, maar experimenteert ook graag met klank en vrijere muziekvormen.
Stilistisch heeft Storm een brede achtergrond. Hij speelde mainstream jazz, fusion, rock en experimentele hedendaagse muziek. Hij werd opgeleid in Kopenhagen. Sinds 1993 is hij ook docent aan het Conservatorium te Oslo. Hij componeerde veel werken voor big band en kleine jazz ensembles. Hij trad op in Japan, de VS en Europa met verschillende ensembles en muziekstijlen.

Op de CD staan 11 tracks, bespeeld op vijf gitaren. Het album werd opgenomen in één dag (op de zonnewende van 2013.)
Storm heeft meerdere cd’s op eigen naam uitgebracht, maar Fosfor is het 2e solo-album. De eerste solo-cd ‘Zinober’ werd ook erg mooi bevonden.
Sinds 1995 is hij regelmatig te gast geweest in Nederland, waar hij speelde met o.a John Engels, Jimmy Halperin en de afgelopen twee jaren met kwartet Winther-Storm. Samen met bassist Thomas Winther Andersen, tenorsaxofonist Natalio Sued en drummer Marc Coehoorn. Ze maakten het album ‘Spinnaker’ waarop modale jazz, rock en vrije klankexperimenten worden gecombineerd.

Håkon Storm-Mathisen is a Norwegian jazz guitarist, composer, and teacher.
‘Fosfor’ is Håkon Storm’s sixth release under his own name and his second solo-album. As a guitarist he works in the interface between an exploratory, expressive playing style, melodious lines and poetic sound surfaces. His music is a journey in landscapes that he  is unique in creating.
The use of a variety of acoustic and electric guitars produces a wide range of contrasting variations. The result is distinctive and original guitar music. The album was recorded live in one day in 2013.
Håkon Storm - ZinoberAs a guitarist,composer and bandleader, Storm has a broad background. He has played rock, fusion and jazz, as well as more experimental contemporary music. He composed music for both big bands and smaller ensembles.
Håkon received his formal education at the Rhythmic Conservatory in Copenhagen. He composes for various ensembles, from trio to big band. He regularly performs with his own trio, quartet, and quintet. In January 2012, he released “Zinober”, an album with original compositions and impro works for solo guitar. Fosfor is his 2nd solo-album.
 He is a member of ‘Line Up’, an internationally recognized cool jazz orchestra, with Jimmy Halperin (US), Steve Altenberg (US). Next to that he is a member of Winther-Storm, dutch-based jazz/rock quartet.
Storm works regularly with his own projects, and has toured in Japan and the USA, in addition to Europe. He also teaches at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo.
